Helene Schmitz was born 1960 and is currently living and working in Stockholm, Sweden. An ongoing theme in her photography projects is the fragility of the human constructions in relation to the power of the nature. She has been studying both in New York and in Sweden, mostly art and film and has had a lot of exhibitions with different photography series, for example ”Borderlands” and ”Living Rooms”.
